We fell in love with this location, an 1869 taphouse rich with tradition and history, and knew it was the perfect place to plant our roots. Charisa Perkins is the Head Chef & General Manager at Copper House Restaurant & Bar. She is involved in all aspects required to run the business; however, she enjoys creating delicious, unique new dishes and food pairings for the eclectic menu. Charisa is a big supporter of using local vendors and eco-friendly products.

She grew up in Henderson, KY, but has lived in Downtown Evansville for ten years now. She earned her Associates Degree in the Science of Culinary Arts from Sullivan University in 2009. While attending Sullivan University, she interned at the famous Jack Fry’s Restaurant in Louisville, KY.

Before Copper House, Charisa waited tables and worked in kitchens at multiple local venues. She ran the kitchen for Tin Man Brewing Company for 3 ½ years and ran the breakfast kitchen for Farm 57 for six months.

With her limited spare time, Charisa enjoys traveling the world. She also enjoys family time with her parents, three sisters, two brothers, nieces & nephews.
